We are proud to share that Ms Clarice Sabino was awarded the Kulzer Travel Awards for hers outstanding paper on “Boron-containing Coating Yields Enhanced Mechanical and Antimicrobial Properties to Ultra-translucent Zirconia” during the 2023 IADR/LAR General Session & Exhibition in Bogota, Colombia. Ms. Clarice Sabino, an exchange student from São Paulo State University, Brazil, is supervised by Dr. Renata Marques de Melo Marinho and developed part of her MSc thesis in Rosa's lab from Oct 2022 till Apr 2023.
"I am truly humbled and incredibly honoured to receive the prestigious IADR Kulzer Travel Award 2023. Winning the award has affirmed the value of my research and the countless hours of hard work invested into it. My research focuses on examining the application of a boron-containing coating on an ultra-translucent zirconia, which presents mechanically enhanced behaviours and antimicrobial properties, while being cytocompatible. I hope that through my research, we can make significant strides towards impacting oral health clinically by enhancing the longevity of dental restorations and reducing the risk of oral infections"
